Iris Alma (irisa at fccdc.org) joined FCCDC in 2024 as a Business Assistance Manager. She brings with her more than 10 years of varied accounting experience to provide confidential counseling and technical assistance to individuals and companies: from those starting off with a business idea for the first time in their life, to seasoned business owners facing a specific challenge in their established business, and everyone in between. Iris is a first-generation immigrant and has worked in one of the big four accounting firms, a boutique CPA firm, and as an analyst in investment management. She was also a small business owner and personally experienced the highs and lows that come with managing one’s own enterprise. Iris completed BA in Sociology from Marlboro College, holds an MBA in International Business, and was a Fulbright Scholar in 2017. Iris speaks six languages, but not all equally well, and enjoys visiting farms, learning about the lived experiences of others, supporting business owners, cross-cultural competency, and economic development.Â
