Expanding Economic Opportunities Since 1979

The FCCDC is your resource to help start or grow your business in western MA. We are your business partner with counseling, capital and connections for you to draw on at every stage of your business’s development.

We provide:

COUNSEL:

  • Business and strategic planning
  • Workshops

CAPITAL:

  • Business loans with flexible terms
  • Office and industrial space to “incubate” your growing business

CONNECTIONS:

  • Referrals and Collaborations
  • The Western MA Food Processing Center to develop and launch new products and tap new markets

Who are we? And can we really help? The answer is all around you. The businesses we have partnered with for 35 years are a virtual who’s who of local enterprises.

Just some examples:
In the 1980’s, we helped food manufacturer, Lightlife, with a loan that helped them with a major expansion, which created jobs for the community.

In the 1990’s, Zoar Outdoor, New England’s leader in outdoor adventure, attended our business workshop to develop a solid business plan. 21 years later, Zoar employs over 100 people and was named the FCCDC’s Entrepreneur of the Year.

In the 2000’s, we worked with Eddie’s Wheels as they expanded and now they sell their animal wheelchairs all over the world.

In the 2010’s, we are helping many local farms get into markets they wouldn’t otherwise have had access to through the Farm to Institution Program of our Food Processing Center.

Since 1979, the FCCDC has worked with and for the community to build businesses, create jobs, and realize dreams.
