Client Focus: Eternal Life Yoga and Wellness

March 3, 2025 by Kate Lawless

Yoga studio business moving ahead

For 10 weeks, participants in the Franklin County CDC’s Fall 2024 Entrepreneurship Accelerator cohort learned the basics of business ownership, from keeping the books to marketing and promotion. They learned from FCCDC instructors, guest experts, and one another—and they plan to continue meeting as alums of the program. During the last session in late December, several students pitched their businesses to an audience, emphasizing what drew them to their vision, and how they planned to achieve it. Their hard work and determination was inspiring! We caught up with EA graduate Olivia Baronas, aka Oli, of Eternal Life Yoga & Wellness and asked her to reflect on the experience of taking the course.

“Taking Franklin County CDC’s Business Accelerator course in conjunction with opening my yoga studio proved to be a wise business decision,” she said. “Between the CDC staff, guests invited to share throughout the program, and individuals from the cohort of students itself, I gained more knowledge, resources and feedback than I can actually remember. I frequently refer to my notes from all of the business topics that we discussed, from elevator pitches to digital marketing to business plans and loans. I have been and will continue to collaborate with many of the experts, creatives and entrepreneurs that I had the pleasure of connecting with through the Accelerator. If you are starting a business in Franklin County, I would put this course on your priority list.”

Eternal Life Yoga & Wellness recently opened at the Mill Village Professional Building on Routes 5 & 10 in South Deerfield. Oli’s small studio space is cozy and charming, quintessential for well-tailored private and semi-private lessons. Oli collaborates with local businesses and organizations to offer larger yoga classes in the community and to increase accessibility. During fall 2024, Oli collaborated with Champney’s and The Deerfield Inn. After her Saturday morning yoga class on the Inn’s lawn, participants received an optional percentage off of breakfast at Champney’s.
