In 1989 the CDC purchased and renovated a 36,000 sq. ft. industrial building and operates it as a small business incubator. The Venture Center provides space — six light industrial spaces and seven offices — as well as office equipment and other resources, for start-up and growing businesses. The facility is located in Greenfield, MA just one mile from downtown and within 2 miles from both Route 2 and Route 91. This is an ideal way for businesses to keep their capital costs lower during their early years of operation. If our spaces are fully occupied we try to match up people needing space with people in the area who have empty space available.
